About Be Well + Meet the Be Well Girls

Welcome to Be Well, the only blog that brings 3 registered dietitians together to share our life eats, feats, and deets. We love food, fitness, family, and friends and on Be Well, we share what we love with you! We hope you enjoy our little corner of the world!

Meet the bloggers:

Virginia Anderson, M.S., R.D., L.D.
Virginia graduated from Auburn University and completed her dietetic internship and Master degree at the University of Alabama at Birimingham. During graduate school she participated in a traineeship where she learned about nutrition and pulmonary diseases and she now works in pediatric pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis nutrition. She is a kind hearted, loving person who is always motivating and encouraging others.

Rainie Carter Robinson, M.S., R.D., L.D.
Rainie graduated from the University of Alabama where she also completed her dietetic internship and Master degree. She currently works largely with pediatric nutrition and with adults on a smaller scale. She is working towards becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator  and working on a personal training certificate with the Be Well girls. At home, she enjoys spending time with her {new} husband! She loves to blog, bake, and run with her favorite running friends!

Kathleen West, M.S., R.D., L.D.
Kathleen graduated from Samford University and went on to complete her dietetic internship and Master degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her traineeship provided a solid foundation of nutrition in the intensive care population. Her current job is primarily nutrition support, lots of tube feedings and TPN's, which she never thought she would like, but turns out it was just the fit for her! She has a passion for general healthy living too!  Blogging about nutrition is the perfect outlet to share the love for real food and a healthy lifestyle. Kathleen loves being active and is always up for a good workout.  She likes to mix up her workouts to challenge herself but her all-time favorite workout is running. Its serves as a great stress reliever and social hour thanks to her favorite running buddies! She is also quite the baker and has a small baking company called "Blue Eyed Baker"...which, is another reason she likes to run.

Be Well was started in 2009 but since Kathleen and Virginia agreed to come on board--Be Well has never been the same! The R.D.s are all interested in helping others reach their full potential and know you will find some great fitness and food inspiration on Be Well. Our goal is to share the idea that eating healthy and living a active lifestyle can be fun and fit into your everyday life. Living a healthy life doesn't mean that you have to live off carrots and lettuce or run endless miles on the treadmill everyday. We hope that our blog gives you inspiration towards enjoying real food and working up a good sweat because nothing beats those exercise endorphins! Most of all, we hope to inspire you to Be Well today, and everyday!

We share life one prayer, run, and Nalgene full of water at a time. Put on your running shoes and come along!
